 ​The vision of the INAMI - ECCC Emergency Crisis Chaplain Corps is to develop a global network of trained chaplains who provide compassionate spiritual care, pastoral presence, and faith-based support to individuals and communities experiencing crisis, trauma, grief, and hardship.
We envision a ministry where chaplains are equipped with the spiritual maturity, ethical integrity, and practical training necessary to serve effectively in hospitals, correctional institutions, disaster response environments, community outreach programs, and other settings where spiritual care is needed.
Through training, credentialing, and leadership development, the INAMI Emergency Crisis Chaplain Corps seeks to strengthen communities by providing hope, encouragement, and pastoral support to those facing life’s most difficult moments.
Our vision is to cultivate chaplains who serve with compassion, professionalism, and unwavering commitment to the mission of spiritual care and pastoral ministry.

ECCC - Chaplain Commitment Statement

Chaplains credentialed by the INAMI Emergency Crisis Chaplain Corps commit themselves to the faithful practice of pastoral ministry and spiritual care within the communities they serve.
As representatives of the ministry, our chaplains pledge to provide compassionate support to individuals experiencing crisis, grief, trauma, or emotional distress. They seek to offer a calming and supportive presence during difficult moments while respecting the dignity and beliefs of those they serve.
Chaplains are committed to maintaining confidentiality, acting with integrity, and upholding the ethical standards of the ministry. They strive to serve with humility, professionalism, and a spirit of compassion that reflects the values and mission of the International Network of Alliance Ministries.
​Through their ministry, INAMI chaplains aim to bring encouragement, hope, and spiritual care to individuals and families during times of need.

ECCC - Chaplain Code of Ethics

The INAMI Emergency Crisis Chaplain Corps is committed to maintaining the highest standards of integrity, compassion, and ethical conduct in the practice of chaplaincy ministry. All chaplains credentialed by the International Network of Alliance Ministries are expected to conduct themselves in a manner that reflects the mission, values, and spiritual principles of the ministry.
Integrity and Honesty
Chaplains shall conduct themselves with honesty, transparency, and moral integrity in all aspects of their ministry. They must represent their credentials accurately and avoid any form of misrepresentation.
Respect for Human Dignity
Chaplains shall treat every individual with dignity, respect, and compassion, regardless of background, culture, religion, ethnicity, or personal circumstances.
Confidentiality
Chaplains must respect the confidentiality of individuals who seek spiritual care or pastoral support. Information shared in confidence should not be disclosed except when required by law or when there is a clear and immediate risk of harm.
Professional Boundaries
Chaplains must maintain appropriate personal and professional boundaries with those they serve. They should avoid any form of exploitation, manipulation, or inappropriate relationships.
Responsible Representation of Authority
Chaplains must clearly understand that their role is pastoral and spiritual in nature. They must not represent themselves as law enforcement officers, medical professionals, or licensed mental health providers unless they hold the appropriate civil licensure.
Commitment to Ongoing Growth
Chaplains are encouraged to pursue continuing education, spiritual formation, and professional development in order to serve individuals and communities with competence and compassion.
Faithful Service
Chaplains should serve with humility, integrity, and dedication to the ministry of spiritual care, always seeking to provide comfort, guidance, and hope to those in need.

ECCC - Chaplain Oath

I solemnly affirm my commitment to serve as a chaplain with integrity, compassion, and faithfulness to the mission of spiritual care and pastoral ministry. 
I commit to providing spiritual support, pastoral presence, and encouragement to individuals and communities facing crisis, grief, and hardship. 
I pledge to uphold the ethical standards of the International Network of Alliance Ministries, to respect the dignity and beliefs of those I serve, and to maintain confidentiality in matters entrusted to me. 
I will conduct myself with humility, integrity, and professionalism, recognizing the responsibility entrusted to me as a chaplain.
​With the guidance of faith and a spirit of service, I dedicate myself to providing compassionate care, offering hope, and serving others with honor and respect.

ECCC - Scope of Chaplain Ministry

Chaplains serving within the INAMI Emergency Crisis Chaplain Corps provide spiritual care, pastoral presence, and faith-based support to individuals, families, and communities experiencing crisis, trauma, grief, or personal hardship.
Primary Areas of Ministry:
Pastoral Care and Spiritual Support
Chaplains offer prayer, encouragement, spiritual guidance, and pastoral presence to individuals seeking comfort and support.
Crisis Ministry
Chaplains may respond to situations involving emotional distress, grief, or crisis where compassionate spiritual support is needed.
Institutional Chaplaincy
Chaplains may provide pastoral care in settings such as hospitals, correctional facilities, community outreach programs, and other environments where spiritual care is appropriate.
Community Ministry
Chaplains may serve communities by offering spiritual encouragement, prayer support, and pastoral guidance during difficult circumstances.
Religious Services and Ordinances
Chaplains who are ordained or authorized ministers may officiate religious services such as prayer gatherings, memorial services, baptisms, weddings, and other ministry activities according to the doctrines and practices of the ministry.
Limitations of Chaplain Services
Chaplains serve in a pastoral and spiritual care capacity. Chaplains do not provide medical, psychological, psychiatric, or legal services unless they are separately licensed by the appropriate civil authorities to do so.
Chaplain credentials issued by the International Network of Alliance Ministries represent ecclesiastical recognition and do not constitute governmental authority or professional licensure regulated by civil authorities.
