ECCC - Deployment Protocols
The INAMI Emergency Crisis Chaplain Corps deploys credentialed chaplains to provide compassionate spiritual care, pastoral presence, and faith-based support during times of crisis, emotional distress, grief, and community need.
These deployment protocols ensure that chaplains serve responsibly, ethically, and within the scope of pastoral ministry while respecting the policies and authority of the institutions and communities they assist.

ECCC - Purpose of Chaplain Deployment
The purpose of chaplain deployment is to provide spiritual support, pastoral care, and emotional encouragement to individuals, families, and communities facing crisis situations or difficult life circumstances.
Chaplains may serve in environments where spiritual care and pastoral presence are beneficial, including healthcare settings, community outreach programs, crisis response situations, and other ministry contexts.
Chaplains serve as representatives of the International Network of Alliance Ministries and are expected to uphold the highest standards of compassion, professionalism, and ethical conduct.

ECCC - Authorization for Deployment
Only chaplains who hold an active credential issued by the International Network of Alliance Ministries may participate in official chaplain deployments. Prior to deployment, chaplains must:
Maintain an active chaplain credential
Remain in good standing with the ministry
Complete the required training for crisis and pastoral care ministry
Agree to follow the policies and ethical standards of the INAMI Emergency Crisis Chaplain Corps.
Deployment assignments may be coordinated by authorized leadership within the chaplain corps.

INAMI - ECCC chaplains may be deployed in a variety of ministry settings depending on the needs of the community and the training of the chaplain.

Chaplains may serve in community outreach initiatives where individuals or families require pastoral encouragement, prayer, or spiritual guidance.
Healthcare Support Deployments
Chaplains may provide pastoral visitation and spiritual support in healthcare environments when permitted by the institution.
Correctional Ministry Deployments
Chaplains may participate in ministry programs that provide spiritual care to individuals within correctional institutions, subject to institutional approval and policies.
Crisis Support Deployments
Chaplains may respond to situations involving grief, trauma, or emotional distress where compassionate spiritual support is needed.

Chaplains deployed through the INAMI Emergency Crisis Chaplain Corps are expected to conduct themselves in a manner consistent with the mission and values of the ministry.

Respect the dignity and beliefs of all individuals served
Maintain confidentiality in pastoral interactions
Follow the rules and policies of the institution or organization hosting the chaplain
Serve with compassion, humility, and professionalism
Chaplains must clearly identify themselves as chaplains and must present their credentials when requested.

ECCC - Limitations of Chaplain Authority
Chaplains serve in a pastoral and spiritual care capacity and do not possess governmental, law enforcement, or emergency command authority.
Chaplain credentials issued by the International Network of Alliance Ministries do not grant authority to perform functions reserved for licensed healthcare providers, law enforcement officers, or other regulated professionals.
Chaplains must respect the authority of institutional leadership, emergency personnel, and government officials when serving in crisis or community environments.

ECCC - Deployment Coordination
All chaplain deployments should be coordinated through the leadership structure of the INAMI Emergency Crisis Chaplain Corps whenever possible.

Scheduling and documentation of chaplain ministry activities
Follow-up care for individuals and communities served

ECCC - Post-Deployment Care
After ministry activities or crisis response situations, chaplains are encouraged to participate in debriefing, reflection, and pastoral support to maintain emotional and spiritual well-being. Chaplains may also submit ministry reports to chaplain leadership to help improve future ministry responses and training programs.

Chaplains serving within the INAMI - ECCC Emergency Crisis Chaplain Corps operate under the ecclesiastical authority of the International Network of Alliance Ministries. Chaplain credentials issued by this ministry represent ecclesiastical recognition for pastoral and spiritual care ministry. These credentials do not confer governmental authority, law enforcement authority, or professional licensure regulated by civil authorities.
